Sorry for the delay there. After trick or treating last night and work today I'm just now getting around to posting. Let me tell you, they turned out awesome. 225° for 16hrs is what it took with a 2 hour rest in the cooler before pulling them. I used the rib seasoning (pictured) liberally and let them set in the fridge for about 18hrs. When I pulled the bone out of them they basicly fell apart. Moist, smokey, and wonderful. I had plenty left over and took it to work today and got rave reviews. I'll be doing this again soon.

I had no idea they also make rib rub, will definitely try it. Did you buy that locally or the net?

Btw, this wasnt hard to shred but I was wondering if anyone has any tips for "pulling" the meat apart. A buddy of mine was telling to get some "bear claws". Has anyone tried these and if so are they worth it?

I pull my pork with my hands. I'll put some latex gloves on and go for it. If it is on the hotter side I'll put some cloth gloves on then the latex gloves. It only takes a couple minutes that way and I can feel the texture of the meat.

I purchased one of these and it works great. I can pull 3 butts in less than 30 seconds. You can also pull it coarse or shred it fine, just by adjusting the time it is in the pork. Watch the video on the website.

Bear Claws are awesome, but very sharp.  They may take a few minutes to get used to them but once you do, you can shred a butt faster than Tommy Lee on a speed boat!!
