I honor of a good friend and sometime inspiration I smoked all weekend for you buddy. We used to talk smoking and meat in general many many times and we both learned a lot. He had some really good recipes and ways of doing things that were different. I also would like to say thanks for all the kids that he touched with his 4-H teaching that I know he enjoyed so so much. Well here's to ya. First I'm going with some meatloaf sliders. They are a full meatloaf meal but on a slider. Smoked meatloaf (you have to try it) with a garlic n cheese mash on top.

Now these things are really good and everyone loves them at our church. For the next smoke I did a Venison Ham bacon wrapped of course. Sorry only one of this one.

Then we will move onto some apps to go along side. How about some ABT's then some Pork Shots mixed in with a smoked onion or 2. It all turned out really good and tasted even better. Thanks for everything and I will miss you Old Buddy.

RIP GARY

This is his Daughter Lisa again.....

Cannot thank you enough!  The love and support from this Forum will help us all get through it.  My boyfriend Sandro wants to "smoke" some meat, nuts, and cheese in Dads honor.  However, the one thing that Dad never allowed us to do was touch his smoker :)  Anyone want to share their secrets with us?  In addition, Dads Memorial is Saturday November 10th at 2:00.  We would love it if any of you could make it to his home in Fallbrook, Ca to celebrate his life.  Please contact Sandro at 760-953-5400 (text or call) to RSVP.

Hi Lisa, Hope everyone is doing OK, I know this is hard, it's hard for me.

You should start a new thread so Sandro can ask for some help with that smoker, I think your post here will get lost but if you start a new one asking for some help I know you will get tons of responses. I'm sure he could call Jimmy too, he would be very happy to help and I think he has the same smoker too.

Great job and tribute to a fantastic man!

Lisa, I would follow Dave's suggestion for posting any help Sandro may need or want to do a "tribute smoke" for your dad! If I recall he had an MES and there are many of us here that own the same smoker.

Lisa it would make me proud if I could help you with your smoke. First off you can't smoke meat and cheese n nuts at the sametime. The profile for Gary says that he had a smokin tex 1400. I'm not sure what kind of smoker that is but I can smoke on anything. Ok this is how we can do it. First I need you to take a picture of what you want tosmoke and then the smoker. I'll talk you thru it if you want to. You can call me at (904) 759-1510 anytime I'm retired too. We can talk about what you smoke and I'll have smoking like a pro in notime.
