Hey guys. Doing my second try at beef ribs on the above smoker. The problem I'm having is not getting enough heat. I still have the original "ideal" heat gauge which I'm planning to replace asap. I'm using regular Kingsford. Started with half chimney of hot coals and added unlit coals to it. Barely getting into "ideal" range. I've used bricks to raise the charcoal grate up for airflow underneath. Firebox vent and chimney are wide open but no soap. HELP!!!!
