Sounds good, I use a lot of Maple wood, that would give it an extra kick. I wonder if Maple Syrup( the real stuff) would be good?

I have used 100% pure maple syrup as a glaze on a ham!  It is awesome!  It really gives a great flavor too!

I've used honey & Jack Daniels before.  Never thought about 100% maple syrup with water to thin it some.  Sounds like a great idea for pork as those flavors go together well.

I sometimes brush maple syrup on ribs, gives them a mild maple flavor.

What is the ratio you use for maple syrup and watet or jack and honey?

I would not dilute the maple syrup with water as it has a mild flavor to begin with. Rather than trying to spray it on the meat just lay it on with a silicone pastry brush, it will be easier and have more flavor.
