........ interesting! Owl b bock for the results.....

back in the 60-70's we smoked banana's a few times. Can't say they were good though...

Yep, I read the title and had a sudden recollection of "that guy" in school back in the 60's and 70's.  Wonder what ever happened to him?  Probably some uber-rich CEO guy by now...

And now back to your regularly scheduled thread.....

Looks interesting.  Never would have thought of putting rub on a banana. Anything else to be done to it or just eat as is?  Somehow the thought of a caramelized coating of brown sugar & rub comes to mind.  Sprinkle, smoke and then flash caramelize open/rub/sugar side down in a hot non-stick skillet.  Oh lordy, that just plain sounds good.

Put some honey on the banana, was darn good and i ate it all. Got some friends coming down from SC today so im going to smoke a couple more.

Leave the peel on or it will get to dry. The cherry pellets worked good, thinking maple, peach, apple pellets would work to.

Rick.. I think you better take that rig (RV) back to the dealer... there's something in the A/C that's affecting your chain of thought.... Thinking ya went off the deep end... I will be in our rig here in the next couple of weeks... hope the same thing's not in my A/C....

Smoked Bananas,Farrr Out. You bring the bananas and I'll find My old Cheech and Chong movies. Seriously though Alton Brown's recipe for Bananas Foster is the best ever. Flambe' is fun.

Did you have Cinnamon on them? I enjoy Br. Sugar, Nutmeg and Whip Cream when they are done. What a treat, and yes, would make a good Banana Foster

I do Peaches,Apricots, Pears , Apples ...any fruit is good Smoked .

I like to do Strawberries on a hot grill for enough time to mark them and put Balsamic Vinegar on them. Good on Peaches and Pears too.A little 'Class' to your meal.

Interesting, I never thought of smoking bananas.  I have many times put bananas on the grill after burgers or steak while the coals are dieing down to slow cook till they are almost black.  You carefully take them off with a spatula and split them with a spoon for a quick desert.  They taste like a rich banana cream pie.  Tasty.  I am going to have to try smoke.  Thanks for posting.
