Had to share some ribs i cooked up this weekend. Used Meowy's rib rub only substituted splenda regular and brown sugars for the two diabetics in the house. Also got to use a friends traeger( No longer a traeger virgin). And although i do like the feature of setting the temp and leaving it alone and not having to fuss with it one thing bothered me. What if you lose power in the middle of a cook and don't notice it . Things good get ruined. So my takeaway is that the traeger is nice but I'll still stick with my build but i will include a temp control on the gas burner for the long over night cooks. Although the friends said i could come over anytime i wanted to use the traeger they'd even buy the meat next time.

Ribs going on the grill

At two hours getting ready to foil with some apple juice.

On the plate. Smoked some baked beans as well, cornbread and salad rounded out the feast. Everyone was comfortably stuffed.

Showing the smoke ring.

These came out great it was almost otherworldly at the first bite. Much better than the ones i had at famous daves on tuesday night.
