For some reason after I last posted this, it says that a moderator will have to approve my thread. . . . . that was 2 days ago and its still not up.  I've posted just 13 times but I am a new member.

Anyhow, I was trying to get some help for a 6# brisket I planned to smoke saturday since it was only my second one and in a completely new rig.  It was a day of constant adaption to different variables.  It was chilly outside 64 deg, and the wind picked up halfway through my cook.  I used probably a good 10 lbs of charcoal trying to keep the temp up and also used some apple wood.  Here are some pics of the before and after

Rubbed and ready to go

3 hrs into smoke

5 hrs into smoke

Finished product.  .  this took 9 hrs in total, and I just brushed the outside with some good bbq sauce.  The family LOVED it and there was none left over  :)

Thank you very much, it was definitely a little more difficult than anticipated, but well worth the effort
