Hi, I'm new here and new to smoking too,

I am thinking of a way to build a cheap, simple and easy to use smoker, mainly for making pulled pork.

I have seen a mini oven going cheap, it is 1380w, it has a 15l capacity and temp ranges from 212f to 572f. I think it would be perfect for slow cooking meat but I can't think of a way to keep the wood chips constantly smoking though.

Any ideas or would this plan not work very well?

Thanks

Take a look at any of the AMNS or AMNPS threads here for how to introduce smoke into your bbq. It's almost too easy.

Just one thing that might not be too obvious - make sure you install an exhaust port somewhere or you will be making creosote right off the bat

Thanks for the replies! I have decided to ditch the idea and instead I am using a small gas grill from costco called a 'nexgrill tabletop grill'.

I have a tin pan full of wood chips over one of the burners and the other one is turned off. I'll use it to smoke for 4 hours and then transfer to my kitchen oven. So far so good temps have been fairly stable around the 250 - 275f mark.
