smoking my first chicken

Hi I smoked a whole chicken tonight with my new 44" smoke hollow pro series , and it was much easier than i thought it would be whew . So had my girl friend get on here and find a brine to make we brined for about two days which was not planned , Than tonight preheated and what is great is i have two burners and two smoke boxes so i turned on one burner got temp to 235 and let it smoke till it was out about a hour and than turned on the other burner and turned off other burner i also seasoned the chicken with a country seasoning from alidis nothing special and make some potatoes onions with country seasoning again . cooked for 3 hrs till temp of chicken was 170 . and wow amazing

 Was that done (BCS)beercan style , or just a lay out? However , it had to be flavorful with 2 days in the Brine. Not that it hurt it(as long as it was handled corectly), but just time to swim around and soak up juices , Mmmmmmmm. Have you tried the Slaughterhouse Brine?

Looks great...... That does look like a cool smoker..... Only bad thing is keeping the glass clean. We have a MES with the glass window at work, we basically gave up on keeping it clean..
 
hey ty and oldschool i laid it flat and did use the slaughterhouse brine it was great,

ty ham and also jarjar i found fireplace glass cleaner at mendards it works great
 
Nice smoker. Is it insulated? Double burner and insulated would be a big hit around here when the snow flys, and its coming soon.
 
As for keeping the glass clean.  I use rubbing alchohol on a rag. Soak the rag pretty good and just wipe away. If you do this every 5 smokes or so, youll have no problem keeping it clean. Plus rubbing alchohol evaperates leaving no chemicals in your smoker.
 
I have used a magic eraser to clean the glass. Works fast and easy, so there is probly some kind of cancer disease I will catch as a resukt of my laziness....but it does work perfectly.
