My thought on the oven is this. They are wrapped so why not.......

I usually will put them in the oven for that stage and do some chicken at the same time, i just turn up the heat a bit more for the chicken.
 
  I don't have a problem with going to the oven after the meat has taken all the smoke it needs. And those look nice.

not real happy with how they turned out. I think I need better thermometer. the smoke flavor is good, they are tender and juicy inside, the bark tastes good , but they wanna fall apart when I cut them, I prefer ribs that hold together better while cuttin, I think maybe the last hour was too much, I shoulda pulled them earlier. Oh well, live and learn.
