Alright, I've had my wsm for about a month now, but haven't had the time to use it. So today is the day. Went out last night and bought two racks of baby backs. First bad omen, friend bailed on me for date night with the wife. We've had beautiful clear skies all day and as soon as the smoker is up to temp and the ribs go on, the skies, in typical Florida fashion have turned BLACK! I fear my first smoke on the new weber may get ruined, so I'll hold off on the qview for now... Wish me luck!

First observation, other than the thunder in the distance, is the built in temp gauge on the wsm is off by about 20 degrees. Says its sitting around 200' probe says its sitting perfectly at 225...

Had many of the Florida rain mess with my smokes.

If you have something to shield it from the rain go for it under roof on porch, just inside open garage, umbrella, portable canopy,.............etc.

Alright. Rained a little bit, but got lucky so far. Just foiled and back in. I'll post some pics later. Been dodging rain for the last hour or so... Look and smell amazing so far..
