So I am working like a little busy bee when low and behold the newsletter arrives in my inbox and it's for CSR's. I dont usually smoke anything on week days given my work schedule. I saw it only take a couple of hours and I have been looking for a reason to play with my new AMNPS and how to get it to work w/ my Gourmet Electric ECB, and I dont work tomorrow so what the hey. And given my all-time favorite summer activity, DCI Drum & Bugle Corps, is being webcast tonight...lets attempt to smoke.
Here is my AMNPS with some charcoal pellets, followed by some pitmasters blend:
Here is the rubbed down CSR's, I am using CYM, "Blues Hog" BBQ Seasoning from Perry, MO, and brownsugar
Here is how I am placing my AMNPS, I am using a pie Pan on a grill grate over the heating element. I did a test burn at 270 degrees and got about 2-2.25 hours for the test row with no burnout.
They were literally jumping out of the container and onto the smoker. The temp will get to 240 for bout 2hours as Jeff's news letter says or to 165-167 IT. The AMNPS has kicked in some nice smoke so away we go:
More to come.
