Hello to everyone, just bought my first smoker (which are quite rare over here in UK) and tried with mixed results my first smokes. I have a LandmannGrand Tenessee Smoker which is a great grill but now we are getting better weather at last in time for the Olympics, I want to start playing again.

My major issue is getting the heat up in the smoking v=chamnber. I have made modifications (charcoal basket, aluminium baffler, chimney extension) and whilst these ha helped it is really difficult to get the chamber up to 225 degrees.

Would love to have some input from you all.

looking forward to hearing from you.

Mark

Hey Mark welcome to the site!!!!!              I am still kind of a rookie myself, but I have found that just loading up the firebox with charcoal/wood then playing with the vents has helped me with my temps.   Trial and error my friend, thats how I am learning.  Lots of good people on here though to answer any questions.   Enjoy the Olympics
