Been reading and deciding and reading and deciding on here for a while now....finally pulled the trigger on a Smokin Pro, now I'm off to the hardware store to pick up some essential mod materials and some coals so I can put it together and season it.

Appreciate everyone's advice and experimentation on this model. I just couldn't justify spending $800+ on a "real" smoker just yet.

Wish me luck and some Q-view to come.

Good Luck!

Sorry i can't help, I've never used a charcoal smoker but I wanted to let you know I moved your thread over to the "Charcoal Smokers" forum, I think you will get a lot more exposure and more responses to your question over here.

Thanks Scarbelly...yeah, I've been reading here for a while and have several bookmarked threads.

Seems there's enough for a book or 2 on here on the Smokin Pro.

I think my next purchase will be a Yoder Cheyenne model.
