Read Jeff's last news letter and remembered I had some cheapo ground beef in the deep freeze, I think it was 73/27 but it was only .99 cents a pound...so I couldn't resist.
Any how I was a bit worried they would just fall apart, but they came out just great. You be the judge....
Simple ingredients, Onion powder, Garlic Flakes, and some Worsty,
Smoked Sharp Cheddar
Made the patties using about 1/2 lb each, used my thumb to make a dimple in the center and then put a hunk of cheese in.
Wrapped it all up with some BBB and sprinkled some PaPa's Stuff on them.
I found a use for the water pan rack that came with the smoker. AMNPS with 1 row of oak and cherry.
Took about 1-1/2 hours to an IT of 160*
Home made buns(grilled), caramelized onions and crispy taters...Yum yum.
Thanks for the idea Jeff, I will be getting your rub recipe and book real soon to help support this Great forum.
