I'm not interested in smoking it (heresy, I know), but I figure you all are the pork experts and hopefully will help. I received a slab of pork in my CSA this month, and the sticker says Pork Ham Roast, but it's like 1 inch thick and about 1 foot round. What is that and what am I supposed to do with it? Everything I find online by that name looks like the typical holiday ham that you cook and slice. This would make some really odd slices. Help?

Thanks,

Beverly

Sounds like you have a fresh ham steak.....there are countless things that you can do with it.
Treat it like pork chops.
Fry it, grill it, etc.
Pound flat for scallopini.
Cut into cubes for use in chili, soups, stews, stir-fry or kabobs....etc.
