This was actually Fathers day weekend that I did this smoke so I'm a little slow in posting. I started out with my grill basket and some pop-corn on the grill for a little app. Then it was time for the "Big O mess", which was bell peppers, onions, Jalapenos and Smoked Sausage(used Andouille sausage) mixed with sweet an sour sauce and hot sauce. After this it was time for some rib eyes. My wife does not like her steak very thick but I do. So I found an 1 1/2" thick, 1.7lb bone in rib eye for me and some 3/4" thick rib eyes for her and the family.
Popped and ready to eat.
After the pop-corn in the grill basket, I grill the onions, peppers and sausage until the vegs start to get soft and the sausage star to brown.
I then put the vegs and sausage in a cast iron skillet and pour the sauce mixture over it and let it cook uncovered on the grill for at least 30min.
Steak time, with an extra bonus.
Surf and turf.
