Hello all ... My name is Zak. I have lived all over the southeast and currently reside in Kennnesaw GA. Nice quiet suburb of Atlanta about 4 miles from Kennesaw mountain.
43 years old, been in love with cooking over a fire and bbq as long as I can remember. Started smoking on a Brinkman upright about 14 years ago. That one finally fell apart .... so I figured ... time to upgrade! Had Lonnie at Bubba Grills build me a 250 gallon reverse flow with rib box. Man this thing is AWESOME!
I'm told told that my butts are like butter and my briskets are the best outside of Texas (I"ve never been to Texas, so I can't say ... but I took it as one hell of a compliment) and I'm doing my first comp in August.
Anywho ... I want to start making my own sausage and bacon (thinking about building a cold smoker or smokehouse), and this looks like the best group on the internet to learn from.
