I attached a Masterbuilt Smokehouse 2 door propane to my Traeger Pellet smoker for the added space and it works great.

The next step is to be able to use the Propane smoker without the Traeger running but I am running into a problem getting the normal thin blue smoke I am use to.

Please provide a new gas smoker some suggestions.

Is the problem too much smoke or not enough? Looks like you could use an AMNPS placed in the Traeger near the intake of the MB. I added a firebox to my GOSM propane just for the use of an AMNPS and it works great! Just a suggestion.

When I keep it at or below 225 I lose the smoke.

I have all three models of Todd's products to include the new tube smoker that he provided for me to test.  All work great especially the new tube smoker.

I am trying to use this thing the way it is design unless that is impossible.

I'm not real familiar with that MB but I'm thinking it could be the type of wood pan or maybe the placement of it. I would do some experimenting with the height of the pan over the burner, maybe if it was closer to the burner it would burn better at lower temps. Maybe a different pan, I used a 9" metal baking pan in mine (before I got the AMNPS and FB mod) and it worked good at or below 225*. I don't think this matters but are you using chips or chunks?

You might want to PM forluvofsmoke I know he has done extensive testing with propane smokers.

I do believe you are on to something here in that the pan is a problem.  Maybe get rid of the MB pan and put a pan on supports over the burner.  What do y'all think?

OK you helpful people here is my new problem.

Following y'all's advice I am now producing to much smoke when using chips, chips in foil, chunks and A-Maz-N Pellet Tube Smoker.

Hope y'all got some ideas.
