Assembled these planters as per Pineywoods (Jerry's) sample he gave me at the NFLG gathering. I have to say they are fairly easy to make but take a some effort.  I have them placed on my deck which gets the most sunlight. My yard is surrounded by tall trees so I don't have much sun to grow a garden other than the spouses flower gardens. I am already impressed with the progress. The first planter I planted two weeks ago and it has doubled in size. The second and third one I planted yesterday. I have Parker's tomatoes, beef eater tomatoes, of course some jalapenos, cucumber,squash,okra..(will be fried). I made six and gave away two as gifts. All together I have around 20 dollars in each one including the garden soil and 12 bucks in the plants per tub. In the future I will be seeding

The closest one looked like the second one two weeks ago. They both have the same plants

Here is a pic of one of the Mrs Hawaiian lei plant. She has a few around the yard. You can cut them and place in water to re root and make new ones

Lookin good !

Didn't get to use mine this spring as its now hot summer here.

May try some fall veggies in them .

Save some of that okra for gumbo!!!

Those look great Joe - you are going to be eating well soon

Looks good Joe!!  The self watering containers are a great way to grow veggies if you have limited space or for people who can't physically grow in the dirt anymore. I've also made some out of 5 gal buckets using the same principles.
