Have had some mixed results with my propane smoker but mostly positive:

Easter Ham came out good.

Beer can chicken came out so/so

Ribs came out GREAT.

Looking to do some chicken wings for July 4th BBQ.

The biggest issue I have seen is temperature regulation and have seen people talk about use of sand with mixed reviews. Is playsand in the water pan good to use in the summer to help better regulate temperatures? Just put it in the waterpan and let it rip?

Also any recipes for wings anyone could recommend? Looking to do a few different ones, some hot, some just with flavor. Any suggestions for the skin? That was my biggest issue with the beer can chicken, skin was not crisp and not much flavor.

Thanks

Put sand in the bowl then cover with foil.
For the wings i just did some. Let them sit in hot sauce over night .
Then right in the smoker@ 300 degrees. Best wings i have ever made :drool
