Hey I am brand new to smoking, so new the smoker isn't even here yet.  I just ordered a Camp Chef 18" Smoke Vault and I can't wait to get to using it.  I have been browsing around the forum here and keep coming across the term GOSM, what does that mean?

ahhh, thanks for the acronyms page, that will be very helpful.  So why are these GOSM's so popular?  Are they better then the Camp Chef
Maybe because they are easily available, I really don't know. There are a lot of smokers that are very popular and availability probably has something to do with it. I'm not familiar with the Camp Chef but I do have a GOSM so I can't compare but I can tell you I love my GOSM but it took quite a few mods to get it the way I want it.
