Hi all!

My name is Elizabeth, and I'm an amateur chef and cook from Miami, FL (hobbyist only).

I have the Brinkmann ECB modified smoker, Weber Spirit e-210, and Weber 22.5" Kettle Grill.  My favorite dishes are smoked bacon, salmon, and my own special ribs with homemade honey barbecue sauce.

My grandfather was a professional chef for many years, and I learned most of what I know from him.  Just got my smoker about a week ago, and have been really enjoying it.  I'm here to learn more and hopefully contribute a little of my own knowledge (as limited as it is). :)

Thanks!

Sounds like a plan.  I have lots of pics from my bacon and salmon smoke.  I'll probably put those up later tonight. (not sure how to add pics, so it may take me a while).

Just so you know, as a new member any pics you post will have to be approved by a moderator and you will get an error message. Just be patient someone will get to it so if they don't show up right away don't double post them just wait. We do this to help keep out the spammers and to make sure no one posts inappropriate content that our children might see. This will only last until you make about 20 posts and then the software will know you are OK.

It is real easy to post pics just click on the button as highlighted below then choose your pic from a folder on your computer. We look forward to seeing your work!

Thanks!  I completely understand about the pics and minimum post requirement.

I just posted a thread in General Discussions with my dinner tonight: smoked salmon with honey glaze and smoked bacon with a molasses/brown sugar coating.  It was wonderful!

That sounds really good! There must be pics in it because I don't see it showing up yet and I'm not a Mod in that forum so I can't OK it but I'm sure someone will get to it shortly and I'll be looking for it tomorrow!

There's lots of pics! :)

I'll make sure to take pics of the ribs tomorrow too.

EDIT: The pics are on my profile too, so you can at least see it.

Can't wait to see those ribs!
LOL!  I promise to post them as soon as I can!

Just a newb question...  Is there a specific forum for pictures or are they welcome in general discussion?  I wasn't sure where to post.

There are a lot of different forums here so it is best to just choose where they fit best. For instance...if you want to post about those ribs then the "pork" forum would be best, and your post earlier with the salmon would fit in the "fish" forum, if you were to do a brisket then the "beef" forum would be where. OK I think you get it! Thanks for asking! And remember "we are here to help" Happy Smoking!
