Hello ,

I have been looking into buying a Lang for some time now. There is a Lang 84 deluxe with a grill on the front for sale close to my house. The seller is asking $ 2,500.00 FIRM.

I would like some feedback from Lang owners if this is good pricing and anything else I should be aware of when buying a used rig like this.

Cheers

Matt W

Used Lang's don't become available very often so you may need to consider paying a premium price.  only advice i can give you is to look at what they are new, check the Lang website and maybe see if anyone else is selling something similar, then go look at it.  Not to sure how many people in your neighborhood are looking to buy something like that so you may have a bit of an advantage if you don't have to have it shipped.

I believe they had one similar for sale on this site a while back so it might be worth a quick search.

A Lang 84 Deluxe with chargriller sells new for $5195.00 and that doesn't include tax or shipping so while expensive that sounds like a decent deal if it's in good shape. Since they are a heavy built unit they usually hold up very well. Look it over and make sure it hasn't been abused and if not it should be fine. My only caution is that the 84 is a big smoker and I have heard of people deciding that it was too big. That being said I really like mine but then again I don't pay for the wood I burn

I would take a look at it, see the overall condition and check for rust and if there is any is it just surface rust or is it too bad for you to want to fix it. Overall I would say jump on it for that price. My buddy just sold his 60" for more than that! Good luck.
