Can anybod explain the spreadsheet to me the smoker ratio part mainly the bottom portion of it where it says number needed I don't quite understand that I put my inlet of 2.750 and it says number need of 2.95 but up top I put in my firebox dim of 18 x 18 x 18 and it says air inlet opening of 17.50 sq in. just not understanding what the bottom section is for, please help.

Here a pic with the firebox dropped and new smokestack on it, still need to do the air inlets on the firebox I still don't believe I have enough sq in of air for the fire according the spreadsheet if I have done it correctly, I also achieved 320 in firebox but had to leave door cracked on firebox so this also confirms that I am not getting air for the fire, also need to cut a little more away from firebox to main chamber about 15 sq in shy from what spreadsheet says it should be

.

Meant to say achieved 320 in main chamber in the above post, sorry folks.

I went back and started looking at the spreadsheet and I figured it out, I must of had a brain fart or something previously, but I understand it now, and it is very helpful with getting the pits right. very good material to have.

Dave Omack helped me also, got to give a shout out to him for helping.

Hello everyone, got all the mods done to start cooking on it, and two more vents to fire box one show and the other on opposite side, opened up the smoke hole from firebox to main chamber added new temp gauges after testing to see how accurate they were, (Taylor temp gauges) new smoke stack on as you can see. Can now get temps way up in the high 300's and able to control them and bring them back down with the new vents added, I want to thank everybody one this forum for there help, you guys are the best.
