I'm live just south of Dayton OH and have been lurking for a couple years. Just got a MES 30" smoker and thought I'd join to share some info and join in on discussions.
I don't know about that. I have been wanting a dedicated smoker for a couple of years so I would hop on from time to time and read the wood and charcoal smoker areas. I have a large weber gas grill as well as a large charcoal grill and have been using these to cook on for years. I decided that another large item on the back porch would be too much and saw the MES 30" on QVC and decided to try it out. I am really impressed with how well it cooks and the nice smoke flavor the meat gets from just a couple of hours of adding chips and then just letting the cooker do its thing.
