Hi everybody,
My name is Hans but everybody call me Hank or Hankki. I live on the westcoast of Finland where most people speak swedish, but I also speak finnish.
I work as a service engineer at a company that makes sheet handling machines for japanese Amada punching and laser machines. I visited schaumburg, IL last summer where Amada have a solution center. This year in january I visited schaumburg again and also Topeka, KS where I had some great pulled pork at the blind tiger. Last month I spent a week in Houston, TX where I had my share of smoked/grilled meat.
I don't have so much experience from smoking but I hope to find some meat this summer so I can try to make pulled pork and brisket. The large meat industry makes ground meat from most of the "best" parts.
I made ribs in my gas grill two years ago, one burner on low and the ribs in the other side. The grill was about 225-250 degrees and it took 4-5 h.
I recently bought a weber 22 inch and is looking forward to this summer. I am also planning a grill house in my backyard with a smoker made out of bricks, I took two evening classes in brick laying so I can build my own smoker and maybe also the 44 inch forno bravo pizza oven.
Other interests are photography, cars ( had a 69 Dodge coronet 500 conv but sold it to finance my growing photo interest and some home improvment )
Last but certainly not least I am married since 6 years, no kids but a really nice cat.
