New From Saskatchewan Canada

Thread Starter

hi all...found the site while searching for info on electric homemade smokehouses.

Our family has being doing their own sausage, jerky, bacon, etc forever.  We currently have a walkin smokehouse and with all our previous smokehouses we mainly use Black Alder, Willow only.  The homestead is 4hrs away from me now so I currently in the middle of a project to make my own fridge electric/wood fired smokehouse.

I will try to post some pics...  Looking forward to searching around here....

Welcome to the family!

Liked your background story and smoking experience...sweet smokers, too! You'll fit right in here, so don't be afraid to share your knowledge and help a few others achieve smoking and curing success. And don't forget to ask if you would ever need help with anything...we take care of our own here...PDT_Armataz_01_34.gif

BTW, you're just above the border from my old home stomping grounds, North Dakota.

Enjoy the forums!
