hello everybody.

i've only used my masterbuilt 40 twice ... seasoned it once before i used it.

i just washed the new wood chip parts in the sink, but they still have a little oil on them.  I'm getting ready to switch the parts out ... my question is.  Should i season the smoker again before i use it?

thanks.

well i went ahead and re-seasoned it.  i turned it on for half an hour to see if it smelled funny once it heated up and it did so i re-seasoned it just in case.  i'm smoking a turkey friday and don't want any funky odor to it.

super easy!  three screws and a phillips screwdriver ... well six screws if you count the ones you have to take out.  the edges are really sharp on both the old and new one ... even with being extra careful in only took a couple of minutes.

mine actually fit better than the old one.  go figure.  the loading chute on mine works better now ... maybe the factory tray wasn't lined up just right.
