Ive done about 100 briskest when I worked for a BBQ joint before it closed. But I have only had my smoker since December, and haven't done a brisket yet. Here's what I was wondering. I have a marinade for flank steak that is your basic flank steak marinade. I love it for flank, but how would it be with a brisket. Im torn. Here's te recipe.

1/3 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup soy sauce
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 limes, juiced
1/2 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika

Blend everything but the oil, and drizzle in the oil as the blender is running. Marinate over night.

What do you think? I know it's not common, but I hate to be ordinary. I was also thinking of adding some dry red wine to the mix, or maybe a stout beer.
