looking for help - Pork Shoulder

Thread Starter

I'm from Southern MN and am new to the smoking meat game.  Totally excited to get going.  I have the Cookmaster by masterbuilt propane smoker.  Plan on doing a 5 pound pork shoulder and a couple chickens for the first time out.  Any help on cook  time and when to add more wood and such to the smoker would be a huge help.

Hi cpole3!  Welcome to the forum!  Please do another post in the propane smoking forum to get your questions answered, that's where all the propane owners hang out and can give you more precise answers!  The path to it is:

Meanwhile please update your location so on every one of your posts we know what type of conditions you will be experiencing based on your location!  Thank you so much!  We are here to help!

Also, are you planning on doing a pork shoulder roast or a pork shoulder butt?
