Hi guys, Bob from Kankakee Illinois. Love grilling & always wanted a smoker, after reading tons of reviews, got a 24" Smoke Vault.

Being a novice I really appreciate reading the other threads & articles on techniques & recipes. Only done a couple chickens, beef rib & an 8 lb pork butt so far & all turned out great, definitely need to keep working on temp control, too hot too fast. Got a Maverick ET-732 so that should help. Smoking this weekend just not sure what yet, I'll grab a cold beer & think about it. Good problem to have.

One thing that u should do is pork shots and ABTs.
eat on them while your main meal is still smoking .
Lot of times we just go to the meat department and look
For something to smoke .

I admit I had to search what ABT's were, now that I know I'll be trying some variation of the ones I saw, they look awesome.

Thanks for the suggestion! Your pics look great too!
