My name is Eric and I am from central PA. I started smoking on an 18" weber kettle. I had some so-so results. "Upgraded" to a Brinkmann (ECB).   Looking to learn the fine art of smoking meat.

Welcome Eric! The people on this site are very helpful. You may want to check out the FREE 5-day BBQ e-course. I am a newbie here and am on day three of the course as of today. I've already picked up some good tips on several areas from buying different cuts of meat to getting the fire going....grilling_smilie.gif

Thanks for the warm welcome. I look forward to learning and yes stealing techniques and recipes. Thanks again. If anyone hasn't yet, I highly recommend ordering the dry rub and sauce recipes from Jeff. They are better than advertised. This is an unsolicited endorsement.
