Ever since I ran a trial run of sandwich roast beef last summer, I just can't bring myself to pay the money for mediocre (at best) lunch meat from the deli. So, since I was in the mood for some roast beef sandwiched for lunch last week, I decided to make up a couple roast beefs that I could slice up.  I just got the non-serrated blade for my Chef's Choice slicer and needed an "excuse" to try it out anyways.  I picked up a 2 pack of round roasts at my local Costco, not the cheapest, but still WAY cheaper than buying roast beef in the deli, and very lean after cutting the fat cap off (wife says I need to eat a little more healthy).

To start I gave it a thin layer of thick Worcestershire and sprinkles with Salt, Pepper, granulated onion and granulated garlic.

I forgot to snap a pic of the 2 halves finished side by side, but got this one after I started slicing the first half.  The second half got vacuum sealed and into the freezer for sammies in a couple weeks.

Got to try out the new blade, to see how thin I could go, I like this blade I got nice thin slices without "wasting" any.  With the serrated blade I always got a lot of small pieces that were wasted.

And of course the money shot:

I eat roast beef sammies for lunch all week and still had to throw a little in the freezer, since I didn't finish it up, but trust me....it WON"T go to waste!!
