Hello from North Dakota!

Hey guys, hello from Fargo! And no, we do not talk like the movie. That's those Brainerd/Duluth area Minnesotans. ;) Pretty new to the whole smoking scene. Borrowed a friend's smoker and made some pepper sticks earlier this winter, but that's all I've done for smoking. I have a Masterbuilt Extra Wide propane smoker on the way. I checked out the reviews here and already have a few mods in mind (putting on casters, for one). Looking forward to doing a lot of smoking in the near future. Have a load of tulibee and whitefish in the freezer that will be going on either this weekend or next, and plan on getting some venison sausages cranked out and smoked in the very near future. Lots of great information here, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of ideas to keep me busy. We have many Eastern ND/Western Minnesota people on the forums here? -Mike

Nice to have you here.  I am in Iowa now, but grew up in the Wolverton area and went to High School in Barnesville.  Sister and Mother are in Fargo and my brother works there. Good to see someone from "home".  Haven't heard the word tulibee in a long time.

Your gonna love smoking.  It can become an obsession.  In the few months I have been on this forum, the variety of my menu has increased greatly.  You won't be able to wait for your next experiment.

Welcome! I was born in Fargo and YES I say the same thing about the movie immediately following my statement of "I was born in Fargo"... That's funny. That movie did no justice and was way off on the accent. It was more Canadian & Yooper (U.P. of Michigan, not sure if many here know what a Yooper is).

Born in Fargo, moved Fergus Falls, ..,..,.., now I'm in CO!  You're going to love this website. I haven't stumped anyone yet with my questions! Tons of great folks here.
