Hello.

Im new to world of smoking. Been BBQing for ever, but just now getting into smoking. Right now Im just using my weber kettle, Ive smoked one fatty on it. Ill probably get an ECB to start on. I think that i eventually want to get a MES 40. I would also like to build a UDS. I can already see this turning into another expensive hobby.

I use the Weber Kettle all the time for shorter/smaller cooks.  I've done small brisket flats, small butts, chicken, a pretty big T-bird turkey, etc.  I get some great results from it.  Oh, and welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard!

You can smoke in that kettle grill, I have done it.  Not to say I would recommend it other than for those who want to work hard or do cold smokes.

Yep, hanging around here can be real hard on the wallet!  biggrin.gif

Good luck and good smoking.
