Any of you sausageheads tried this yet? http://www.butcher-packer.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=32_137&products_id=562&zenid=6f2fd7ad0e3eb638107fc7164196f44d

I noticed it yesterday when getting my next order together. No picture, no description, not even what kind of chorizo. I may just have to add it to my order.

B & P sucks when it comes to product info. I'd buy a lot more from them if I knew what I was buying.

Hope you're reading this B&P.

It arrived today. The ingredients are chili pepper, salt, cumin, garlic, oregano, silicon dioxide, and ethoxyquin. I guess just add pork and vinegar followed by a thorough mixing.

Most of those ingredients are fairly common in kitchens, although silicon dioxide (flow agent) and ethoxyquin ( a food preservative and a pesticide!) may be a little trickier to find at the local mom & pop grocery store... biggrin.gif

If I had seen the ingredients online I wouldn't have ordered it but for $4/lbs I figured why not. From what I could tell the ethoxyquin is actually used to preserve the color. I'll try it and see how it turns out. 33.gif
