Smoke Generator Help!

Thread Starter

I built my own smoke generator and fired it up tonight to give the fridge I'm building a test fire! My smoke generator has a adjustable air pump similar to what the Smoke Daddy has.  I got it fired up and had a little bit of smoke coming out of the fridge's smoke stack.  Went in for a bit and came back out and the thing was pouring white smoke out.  I adjusted the air all the way down but did not change much.  Does anybody have any advise how to get the "TBS"?  Thanks a bunch in advance!

Best thing to do is snap a couple of pic's and put them on SMF so we can see. You will get a quicker response when people can see your set up.

Well my best guess is the chips caught on fire. Try using less chips and less heat next time. I'd say it is going to be trial and error to find the right mix.

I'll have to try again tomorrow night,  should the chips be soaked a little before or not?  The bag i used has been open for a few months and been sitting on a heated concrete floor.  Is it possible they got too dry and ignited?

Do u have a vent and a smoke stack on ur fridge build?  If u just have a smoke stack and your fridge is sealed shut off your air pump!  Its drawing air threw ur smoke generator!

Fridge is sealed off with no bottom vent and a 4in stack.  I thought of shutting of air pump but i was discouraged and just dump the chips out and decieded to call it a night!  I'm starting to have a better feeling that it will work better tomorrow night tho.

My suggestion is to quit frustrating yourself and invest in an AMNPS - it will solve all your TBS issues
