Hello, my name is Lee and I'm in Corpus Christi, Tx. I have been snooping around on here for a while now and have to say this is by far the best place to get smoking/cooking info. I got a Cajun Injector electric smoker for X-Mas and have no complaints so far. Sausage, summer sausage, butts, chicken and fish have been cooked on it so far and all have been really good.

Welcome aboard.  When I go to Corpus for business (seldom), there is a BBQ place that serves their Q on butcher paper about 30 min out of town.  I remember it looking like a truck stop.  I can't recall the name but it is great stuff!

Howdy neighbor ! Was in your town/area this past summer. Kness are still sore from climbing all those stairs in the "Gray Ghost" dry docked there.

First off welcome to SMF there Lee. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

WELCOME, Corpus.........Rockport here, Glad to see another Texican here and close too!!

Have you tried Rudy's there?  We, (wife & I) tried it, we compared it to the Rudy's in San Antonio, (we thought it was little dry), so they lost....However I try eateries at least 3 times before I write them of.

There are so many B-B-Q joints around here it is hard which one to choose. 

The best part is when their 'Q' is as good as yours, well OK!!

Don't forget the 'Q-View'........some of us really like the pictures!

If you can't locate the answer just ask folks here are willing to share there knowledge. I suggest you take  the 5 day e-course on smoking its chuck full of great info. Smoking  5-Day e-Course

No, we have not tried Rudy's yet but have heard good things about it. We don't eat out very often and when we do it's normally in the Calallen / Annaville area.
