After seeing the roast beef posts by Slief, I had to try it myself. I picked up an arm roast, about 3lbs, at a local grocery store. It was 5P.M. on Sunday at this time so I didn't really have time to marinade at all, but turned out not needing to. I rubbed the roast with a makeshift rub out of the pantry. I really like the pork rub I use, so I figured I would give it a try and mixed about 2tbs of rub and brown sugar together and covered it.

Started a fire, used minion method with briquettes and some maple and apple chips mixed in.

Smoked at about 235 for just over 4 hours till it was at about 138* then I pulled and put in a luke warm oven for about a half hour to rest.

Here it is getting a final inspection before slicing.

Finished product all sliced up.

It turned out great and the rub was perfect IMO, the whole thing was smokey sweet and spicy...and very moist!

This will make a good lunch for me for the week.

Thanks for looking!

Looks like great roast beef to me! They are hard to screw up as long as you monitor the meats temp. Glad to have inspired you as others here have inspired me!

Thanks for posting this!

Thanks all! The sammies have been good all week! I think I will have to make some more very soon, It makes very quick easy lunch and is way more cost effective and at least a little healthier than some choices to eat out at.
