Hello,I have seen the site for a bit and decided to join. I had a Brinkman Gourmet Electric smoker & Grill, used it a while. I then wanted a gas smoker saw the smoky mountain at Walmart my mother n law gave it to me for Christmas about 3 years ago knowing that I had talked about it I know my wife had something to do with it. My first smoke on was chicken breast turned out ok. Don't get to use it much cause I drive a big rig cross the the U S A and Canada. I am looking for a local driving job, so I will be home more. Love to hunt fish cook, and most of all to serve the lord Jesus Christ.

Welcome aboard. As for smoking a trucker, I'm thinking you'll need something somewhat larger than a Brinkmann Electric or a GOSM if you're planning on smoking the whole trucker all at once. Maybe something along the lines of a Lang 84. Might make do with a 60"er if it's a little trucker. Also, try and get one from the South, as their diet leads to a more flavorful and tender trucker. Northern truckers can be a tad bitter, likely due to the long winters and subpar diet along their usual migratory routes.

Wait..I may have misunderstood your post....

First off welcome to SMF there Wilro. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
