I'm ready to start building!

Thread Starter

Hello, my name is David and I'm from Amarillo Texas.  I have been smoking for 3 years on a store bought New Braunfels that I have finally mastered.  I recently borrowed a friends competition rig to do around 70 Lbs of brisket and pork butt and fell in love with big trailer smokers for many reasons....... so I Have decided to build my own RF out of a 200 gallon propane tank.  (I'm a guy and bigger is better right?)  I like metal working and love projects so I think this will be a great experience.  I have used this forum for many great ideas and like how many people post pictures of their builds, it has really helped give me ideas.  I'm an engineer by trade so designing this rig is half the fun for me and hope when I have some questions all you knowledgeable guys can help me out.

Thanks and Boiler up!
