I have wore out my smoke hollow gas, cabinet style smoker. Not a lot of room, and limited penetration with smoke ring using chunks with gas. Christmas brought me a Char Griller Duo with a side firebox. I have done two racks of pork ribs and some chicken. I am having a hard time keeping the fire going, I have to prop the firebox lid open. I don't understand, all the vents a opened all the way. Looking forward to expanding my smoking skills. Can't wait to take it the "next level".

First off welcome to SMF there Jasot. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
