Why Are Threads Deleted ?

So I was reading this thread

When I clicked on page 2 I was not permitted to view it as I am not an Admin. So when I went back to the home page the whole thread was deleted. I don't understand that when there is a little debate it is quashed almost immediately. I was very interested in the rest of the reply's to this topic.

I believe it isn't a specific post that became a problem.  There where multiple threads by the same member that started getting a bit out of hand and where held for moderation.  I am sure the Administrators are going to do what they feel is the best thing for the forum and the safety of the  recipes and techniques present on our pages.

Debate is fine when it becomes name calling and the stupid remarks start coming then we as Mods and Admins are forced to deal with it. Depending on what has gone on we may choose to edit the thread or we may choose to delete it completely.

Debate is fine but disparaging remarks about another members abilities, education and/or intentions are deleted with an explanation to the offending member that this type of behavior is unacceptable and further offenses are grounds for permanent removal from the Forum...This guy would make wild accusations and then get nasty...Some people just don't play well with others...

This had been going on for a couple of days with no co operation from the member.
