OK I  never made sausage before but would love to give it a go.  What is a good easy detailed recipe and smoking method for the first try?  As detailed as possible since I am a rook.  Also what are some good starter grinder and filling machines?  Are the kitchen aid attachments any good or are they a waste of money?  Thanks for the help everyone!!!

The KA grinder is good for small batches but it sux for a stuffer.

You can find some inexpensive items at northerntoolDOTcom, right now they are having a sale on processing items.

You will need casings, cure and seasonings. Some sausage kits have the cure packets in them already. Would advise a good book for beginners call Great Sausage Recipes by Rytek Kutas, easy to understand and follow with break downs from 25 lbs to 10 lb recipes.

And dont be afraid to ask for help here.

I just seen your in Wernersville, PA. Go to Cabelas and look at their processing items. While your there up in camping you will see a couple women working there, Tall blonde is Lana, short sandy hair is Lena, Tell them Rick B says hello from GA.
