Hi, my names Jeff and I live in Oklahoma. Just getting into smoking with my Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5. I'll be smoking beef, chicken, and pork.  Looking forward to chatting with you all and learning alot!

 to SMF. You have come to the right place for smoking info. This site is loaded with great info just use the search bar at top of page to find what you are looking for. If you can't locate the answer just ask folks here are willing to share there knowledge. I suggest you take  the 5 day e-course on smoking its chuck full of great info.Smoking Basics 5-Day eCourse

The WSM is a good unit, I have 1 I use at my camper. I did several mods to mine, but with yours being newer you may not need them. if ya need more info on the mods just post up and ask there are a bunch of wsm users here.

Don't forget the Q-view of your smokes we all love it.
