Greetings from New Orleans!

Hello all, just wanted to check in and say hello.  Just found this forum, and I'm glad I did.  I've been cooking for all my life, or at least all of it that I can remember, but I only got serious about BBQ about 5 years ago, and have been hooked ever since.  As I type, I smell like smoke and pork from a shoulder I put on at 5 o'clock this morning.  I always cooked on a barrel smoker with a side firebox, but I'm cooking today on an electric smoker that my FIL gave me for Christmas.  I love smoking the big three mostly, but will occasionally venture out a little and I'm sure I'll get some great ideas from this forum.

What did I miss?

First off welcome to SMF. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
