The smoke box is running about 70 degrees less than the main Chamber...

OK so now the questions.  I am going to wrap the doors to help with the smoke but no big deal.  I am leaking smoke from the doors of the smoke box not horrible but a little do you think silicone will fix it?

You can mess with it but why? I would imagine silicone would fill in the gaps but it looks so minimal. You could fill the voids if you want but the smoke is part of the draw right. Your rig looks awesome and all I could wish for is if it will stop into my town one day.

You are probably right it held temp fine i let the fire die down a little sooner than I would have liked but got to get use to burning sticks.

Man that thing looks awesome. I didn't see the inside of the cook chamber. Maybe you could add some tuning plates just inside the cooking are by ther fire box to divert more heat down toward the upright chamber box? I believe that is what Klose does to his smokers and I think they say they only have 5 degrees difference.

Ecto, looks good.... The smoke box is running that much colder because of cold air infiltrating thru the cracks..... Put saran wrap on the door flange and very high temp silicone on the box.... Close the door and let it cure... Silicone will not stick to the saran and the gap will be reduced to almost air tight.... I have made many a gasket like that.... works very well... You may have to clean off the paint where you want the silicone to really stick but this could be a test to see if it perform the way you want....

Congrats on the "keep the family together" weekend smoking trailer... You are one lucky and deserving man my friend.... Dave

That a nice piece of equipment...That should make the Comps more fun...JJ
