Hello all,

Just wanted to introduce myself to the crowd.

My name is Matt, I'm from Northeast Pennsylvania, and I've just recently gained an interest in smoking foods. I'm 26 years old, and I'm a big fan of cooking. I've never tried smoking, though, and greatly look forward to it.

After receiving a Smoke Hollow propane smoker for Christmas, I'm getting closer and closer to preparing some delicious treats for my family and I! I also received a bag of Jack Daniels oak chips to experiment with.

I'm looking to start off at a beginners level, but can't wait to try a brisket or pork butt in the future.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone who frequents the forum.

Happy Smoking!

First off welcome to SMF there Matt. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
