G'Day all from the merry ole land of OZ!

I got a new gas smoker for Christmas and am taking it for its first run today!

I seasoned it with Jack Daniels smoked wood and some pallets as well!

Now having a crack at my first Cook Up!

Smoked topside beef in Red Wine and Adams Secret Spices (Forgot what I actually put on it! lol) and pulled pork with Kevin and Amandas savory rub!

I'll post the final verdict on how it turns out and would welcome any help or tips anyof you have to offer!

Thanks for the replies guys it turned out incredible! My wife said the pulled pork was better than we had in Hawaii which I take as a HUGE compliment! Pics are below and the Jack Daniels smoke was awesome really stood out in the beef that was soaked in Dry Red Wine.

First off welcome to SMF there Birdman. Congrats on the new smoker and that's the one I started on and now I have 4 smokers. One large enough to smoke a large person. So if anyone wants to date one of our daughters you know. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
